To drive lasting environmental and social impact, Planet Plus Kenya implements projects across three key thematic areas: landscape restoration, education for sustainable development, and community-based enterprise development.
Planet Plus Kenya is piloting an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) program in three schools across Nairobi and Machakos County. The initiative equips learners with the skills and knowledge to address environmental challenges while exploring income-generating opportunities that benefit their communities.
Kenya’s gazetted forests, covering only 4.3% of the country’s land, play a critical role in biodiversity conservation, water security, and climate regulation. Planet Plus Kenya, in collaboration with Safaris and other partners, leads nationwide reforestation efforts.
Planet Plus Kenya supports community-led social enterprises that link environmental conservation with sustainable livelihoods. Through these initiatives, we empower communities, protect ecosystems, and build sustainable local economies.
